My 2025 Bingo Card

I jumped on the bandwagon and made a 2025 bingo card. Since I have a habit of getting into one particular hobby and then doing a lot of it, I took this opportunity to make a bingo card that will encourage me to do lots of different things this year.

I’m off to a good start. I’ve been able to check off 4 items already!

1. Kim and I bought a new, king-sized bed with a fancy adjustable base. I feel like I’m getting much better sleep now.
2. Went out to karaoke last month with friends and sang three songs.
3. Finished the black and white fabric collage kit that I showed off in my last post.
4. Just yesterday, I went to the movies with my mom and we saw Macbeth starring David Tennant.

Some of items I’ll be able to check off soon:

1. Finish a cross stitch project – I’m already 2/3 done with a small project, and since it’s a gift, this will absolutely get done.
2. Dinner with a friend – Getting checked off tomorrow, if all goes to plan.
3. Finish my raven tattoo – Only one more sitting next Friday, and then it should be complete.
4. See a concert/show – Next month, I have tickets to see a Lord of the Rings concert with special guest Christopher Lee, the actor who played Saruman.

Other squares will be ongoing for the year, but so far, I’m feeling good about them:

1. I’m on day 216 of my Duolingo streak (I’m doing French)
2. Journaling more – I’m off to a good start, writing more of my thoughts/feelings instead of just documenting my daily activities (which I’ve been doing for years.)

Stretch goals:

1. Read a book – This shouldn’t be a stretch, but with all the time I’m devoting to my other hobbies, reading has gotten deprioritized. Hoping to fix this and finish at least one this year.
2. Finish a knitting project – With so many other craft projects waiting in the wings, this may be hard to do, especially since the pattern I want to make is very complicated.
3. Assemble / illuminate a Lego set – I would love to add lights to my two Lord of the Rings sets, but I’m not keen on deconstructing them to do it. However, if Lego comes out with a new Lord of the Rings set this year (rumors that maybe Minas Tirith is next) then this would instantly jump off the stretch goals list!
