Last month was full of crafting and enjoying the holidays. This post will be image heavy as I can finally share lots of projects I was working on as gifts earlier in the year but couldn’t share lest I spoil the surprise.
Holiday Crafts
Cross stitch and knitting were the main crafts this holiday season. I designed and stitched two sets of retro video game ornaments, and also designed a special bookmark for Kim. I then knitted up a set of 6 subtle Star Trek wash rags in blue, gold and red, before moving on to sewing a raccoon plushie. Lastly, I went back to knitting to whip up some rainbow wash rags in a different pattern.

Holiday Celebrations
This holiday season saw some fun outings with friends, including a martini-tasting / white elephant gift exchange with my interpreter circle of friends, and a nice dinner out followed by drinks at home with some long-time friends.

Tattoo Touch-Up
This month was the final sitting for my fox tattoo. The orange had fallen out a lot, so most of the fox’s body had to be done over with orange. It’s now healed up nicely with no more color patchiness.

Holiday Break Crafting
I got a lot done on my Lake Louise satin stitch kit after Christmas, and completed a Lego kit that I got for Christmas.

Looking Towards 2026
Already on deck for this year is a Zion satin stitch project, a year-long satin stitchalong project, and lots of Lego sets to assemble. I also hope to get some songs good enough on the carillon to take the associate carillonneur exam and join the carillon guild. Otherwise, we shall see where next year takes me! Happy New Year, all!
